National cyclists to compete in Estonia

Azerbaijani cyclists will compete in the European Road Championships 2015, which is scheduled for August 6-9.
The competition will held in Tartu, Estonia. Four thrilling days will bring together hundreds of cyclists from many European countries to race on the streets of Tartu.
Competitions will be held for ladies and men in the junior and U23 class.
For each there will be 2 competitions – an individual time trial and a group race. In addition a popular race (62 km) will take place in the framework of the programme.
Azerbaijan will be represented by eight cyclists. Kanan
Gahramanli, Tarlan Mammadov, Maxim Naperstkov and Nijat Orujzadeh
will participate at the group race.
In an individual time trial the country will be represented by
"Synergy Baku" cyclists including Samir Jabrayilov, Elgun Alizadeh,
Ismayil Ilyasov and Anvar Asanov.
Azerbaijan gained its best result last year in Switzerland, when Elgun Alizadeh took the 12th place at group race.
The first professional cycling competition was held in Azerbaijan in May 2012, with 17 teams from 15 countries participating.
The Tour d'Azerbaidjan is an exciting cycling competition, which has been held in the country since 2013. This year, the competition hosted some 23 teams from around the world.
