The sides underlined that reciprocal visits of top officials will give an impetus to Brazil-Azerbaijan relations.

They noted that the development of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil would be fruitful in all areas, including sports.

Active participation of Brazilian citizens in the international projects, humanitarian forums and sport events hosted by Azerbaijan was underscored by the parties.

The sides underlined that there are great capacities for development of fruitful cooperation between them.

They also called for expertise exchange, as Brazil will host the Summer Olympics in 2016 and Azerbaijan will hold the European Games next year.

Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov also met the Brazilian minister.

Asadov highlighted cooperation between the two countries in a variety of fields, as well as Azerbaijan`s rapid development and its role in ensuring Europe's energy security.

The speaker hailed the role of reciprocal visits and interparliamentary ties in strengthening of the bilateral cooperation.

Asadov stressed the importance of experience exchange between two sides in the field of sports.
