Azerbaijan’s athletes gain bronze medal in Shooting World Championships

Azerbaijani national shooting team has gained the third place at the Shooting World Championships in Suhl, Germany, the National Paralympic Committee reported.
Around 300 athletes from nearly 50 countries came together in Suhl from July 18 to 26 to take part in the championship.
Azerbaijan's Paralympic team won a bronze medal in shooting at a distance of 50 meters. Earlier, the team took the second place at shooting in 10 meters.
The national team members included Elena Taranova, Akper Muradov, Elshad Mammadov and Kamran Zeynalov.
The athletes, who took the first and second places in the Championships in Germany, would receive a direct pass for the Paralympic Summer Games in Brazil in 2016.
Azerbaijan's shooting team has made great achievements in the past few years. They have wined the 2014 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Shooting World Cup Great Britain among 103 athletes from 22 countries.
Earlier in 2013, the Azerbaijani athletes broke world's record at the 3rd IPC European Shooting Championship.
