Finalists of “Baku Cup 2014” turning out

The "Baku Cup-2014" international tournament has entered its third
day on July 22, when the fights for finals are scheduled.
Only ten players among 32 highly ranked tennis players could reach 1/8 final including Vesna Dolonts, Kristina Mladenovic, Francesca Schiavone, Jana Chepelova, Donna Vekic, Misa Eguchi, Sorana Cirstea, Silvia Soler Espinosa, Elina Svitolina and Julia Glushko.
The first match of July 22 was held between Serbian Vesna Dolonts and Russian Ksenya Gaydarzi. Dolonts won the match 2:0.
The other match between English Khiter Watson French Kristina Mladenovic finished 2:1 in favor of French tennis player.
Another favorite of Baku Cup 2014 left the competition. So, famous Italian tennis player Francesca Schiavone defeated her rival Japanese Kurumi Nara 2:0.
One of the interesting moments of the competition was the game
between sixteen years old Nazrin Jafarova from Azerbaijan and Jana
Chepelova from Slovakia. At the stressful match Slovak player could
get the victory with the score 2:0.
Ukrainian Olga Savchuk met with 18 years old Donna Vekic from
Croatia, where the Croatian tennis player could reach (1/8
final).
Misa Eguchi from Japon also could reach 1/8 final, winning
Magdalena Ribakova from Slovakia with the score 2:0.
The main battle was between Sorana Cirstea and her rival from
Tunis, Uns Jabir which ended with the victory of Cirstea. With this
result, the main player of the competition received the ticket to
1/8 final.
Another tennis player Spanish Silvia Soler Espinosa also took a
chance to 1/8final, leaving behind her rival from Monte Negro,
Danka Kovinc.
The match between Elina Svitolina (Ukraine) and Nigina Abdurhimova
(Uzbekistan) ended by the victory of Ukrainian tennis player with
the score 2:0.
The last owner of 1/8 final became Julia Glushko from Israel. She
defeated Ukrainian Catherine Bondarenko with the score 2:1.
A 1/8 final doubles match was also during the tourney.
The members of French team, Amandine Hesse Pauline Parmentier faced Alexandra Sasnovich (Belarus) and Katerina Siniakova (Czech). French team won the match 2:1.
Jullia Glushko (Israel) and Sandra Klemenshits (Austria) played against Catherine Bandarenko (Ukraine) and Nicole Melichar (USA), where the latter could reach the 1/4 final.
Other winners of doubles match, who reached 1/4 final, was Raluca Olaru(Romania) - Shayar Peyer (Israel), who defeated the team of Alexandra Kadantsu (Romania) - Katarzyna Piter (Poland).
The tournament will last till July 27 in the Central Court, which seats 3,000 spectators.
This year, the prize fund of the event will be $250,000.
