Synergy Baku cyclist second so far at Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia

Synergy Baku project rider took second place at the first stage of the Tour de Langkawi, held in Malaysia on February 27- March 7.
Covering the 101 km long first stage in 2 hours, 21 minutes and 51seconds, Matt Brammeier lost 11 seconds to the stage winner Duber Quintero from the Colombian team.
Matt was also awarded with "King of the Mountains" jersey for his efforts.
Synergy's cyclists Michael Schweizer, Elchin Asadov, Tural Isgandarov, and Pat Lane came to the finishing line losing 1.18 to the winner, while Daniel Klemme lost 1.35.
The team's successful performance so far has given them the second spot at the team ranking.
Matt, 28, has split his winter training between the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Girona in Spain.
"I've been training pretty well, no major sickness or injury for the first time in a while (touch wood!), so I'm feeling good and really happy with the work I've put in so far," he said before the race.
The second stage of 132.5 km will start on February 28. Six World tour teams, five professional continental teams, seven continental team including Synergy Baku, and three national teams are struggle in the tour.
