Baku to present bid for 2017 Islamic Games
An Azerbaijani delegation will attend the 8th General Assembly of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on July 21-25, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Azerbaijan will be represented by Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade, Executive Director of "Baku-2020" Organization Committee and Islamic Solidarity Games 2017 Konul Nurullayev and International Program specialist and member of Islamic Solidarity Games' working group Mehman Karimov.
The event will define the new composition of ISSF for 2013-2017, and also see some structural changes within the organization.
It will also feature a presentation on Baku`s bid to host the
4th Islamic Solidarity Games in 2017.
The General Assembly will conduct a voting to name the host city
for the 2017 Games.
