Azerbaijani judo team wins int'l tournament in Georgia

The Azerbaijani judo team was victorious at the Continental Cup held in the Georgian capital Tbilisi.
According to the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, 23 judokas represented the country at the championship. The athletes were able to claim two gold, one silver and two bronze medals and secured victory for their side. Israel, Japan and Georgia took second, third and fourth spots respectively.
Tural Safguliyev vying in the 81 kg weight bracket and Shehmad Maqomedov (90 kg) brought home the gold medals, while Shahin Qahramanov (90 kg) won silver, and Huseyn Rahimli (73 kg) and Mammadali Mehdiyev (81 kg) won bronze.
