AZFAR Business League - ABL Cup 2017/18 among Azerbaijani companies kicks off in Baku.

The mini-football championship Azfar Business League of such format and scale is held for the first time in Azerbaijan and takes place on the professional pitches of the AZFAR company, Trend Life reported.

The tournament is organized by ASEP (AZFAR SPORT EVENT & PROMOTION).

The expected game "Azersun" - "Gilan Holding", despite the great difference in the score, was interesting and tense. From the very beginning of the match the teams "exchanged pleasantries" in the form of gross violations, and the scorer of "Azersun" Eyyub Efendiyev received a yellow card. After that, the game from the aggressive environment became more tactical. Constant attacks from "Azersun" team, strong defense and counterattacks by "Gilan Holding" continued throughout the first half of the match, which ended with just one goal from "Azersun". After the break, "Azersun" increased the tempo of the game and within 10 minutes scored as much as 6 balls into the opponent's goal. Only at the end of the match, the striker "Gilan Holding" Ayhkan Mammadov was able to score a goal. The match ended with a score of 7-1 in favor of "Azersun" team.

One of the most dynamic matches was the game between teams "Buta Palace" and "Polatyol". Right strategy and mutual understanding on the field has always been a hallmark of "Buta Palace" team. As a result, "Buta Palace" scored 3 goals. However, "Polatyol" team also showed great team spirit and reliable game by goalkeeper Vusal Yagubov, who recently recovered from a hand injury. Despite violations of the rules, the game turned out to be fascinating and exciting. As a result, "Polatyol" team gained victory with a score 6-3.

"Azecolab" truly "dismantled" the protection of "ATL Tech", scoring 7. In the first half of the match, "ATL Tech" still held the defense, conceding only two goals. But after the replacement of the goalkeeper situation had changed. Ayaz Gullmammadov defended his goal with all his strength, but unfortunately, he could not hold back the onslaught of "Azecolab" team. The match ended with a score 7-1 in favor of "Azecolab" team.

Team "Universal" beat "Muğanbank". Was this expected or not? More likely no than yes. The audience, of course, got used to the victories of "Universal". The team proved itself as a favorite of the championship.

The first time passed in equal fight, "Muğanbank" missed just one goal. But in the second half, "Universal" broke the resistance of the opponent and won with a score 6-2.

This stage of the championship was also remembered by its heroes: "Azersun" Eyyub Efendiyev, Faraj Farzaliev and Amid Jafarov, "Universal"- Javid Ismayilov, "Gilan Holding" - Aykhan Mammadov and Emin Aliyev, "Azecolab"-Elvin Alizade and Togrul Shekerli.

The next time "Azersun" will meet with "Universal", while"Azecolab" will play with "Polatyol". Semi-final matches will take place at Shafa Stadium on December 10.
