Moroccan envoy: Comprehensive conditions created for athletes at Solidarity Games

Comprehensive conditions were created for athletes at 4th Islamic Solidarity Games, said Adil Embars, the Moroccan Ambassador to Baku.
The ambassador thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for high level organization of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games.
“Azerbaijan has amazing nature, as well as rich infrastructure and tourism opportunities,” added the diplomat.
He further mentioned that overall fields of sports developed in Azerbaijan, adding “the Islamic Solidarity Games showed Azerbaijani athletes` power”.
More than 3,000 athletes representing 54 countries competed for 269 sets of medals in 21 kinds of sports (18 Olympic ones and three non-Olympic ones) at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku.
The fourth Islamic Solidarity Games ended in Baku on May 22 with Azerbaijan topping the medals table after a relentless 11-day long battle with neighboring Turkey. The national athletes won 75 gold, 50 silver and 37 bronze medals.
Morocco placed seventh at the medal standing of the Islamic Games, scoring 27 medals with 7 golds, 5 silvers and 15 bronzes.
