National taekwondo fighters to vie for European medals
Azerbaijani under-21 taekwondo fighters will compete in the European Championships to be held in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The squad includes seven fighters, Azertac reported.
Taekwondo is one of the most popular sports in Azerbaijan. The National Taekwondo Federation has trained many prominent athletes since its founding in 1992. Many of those athletes now enjoy international recognition.
