Red Bull to bring energy to Baku 2017 Games

Baku 2017 has announced that upon signing agreement, Red Bull company based in Baku, became fourth Official Supporter of the Islamic Solidarity Games.

Red Bull, produces one of the world’s most famous and beloved energy drinks, is a global leader on social media channels, media and marketing areas.

Red Bull will not only supply energy drinks, but also present some of its products during the events which will be held on the venues of Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games. Furthermore, energy drink company will organize entertainment campaigns with the participation of well-known athletes and DJs on the selected venues and Athletes Village.

Red Bull has a great experience in organizing large-scaled, successful and innovative events and their promotion will give its considerable contribution to Baku 2017 Games.

Head of Financial and Commercial Department at AISGOC, Mr. Tom Warwick said: “We are delighted that Red Bull, a familiar brand across the Islamic world, will support the Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games. The enthusiasm shown by the local Azeri Red Bull team leaves me in no doubt that Red Bull will enhance the experience of athletes and spectators, both in the build-up to and duration of the Games. Red Bull are recognized for their success in promoting and organizing events in Azerbaijan and internationally, so I am sure their added energy will lead to a successful event in Baku in May 2017”.

The Country Manager of Red Bull in Azerbaijan, Mr. Rafael Pashayev emphasized their company’s pride of being an official partner of Baku 2017: “We are confident that Baku 2017 Games, which are of great importance for our country, will be held at the highest possible level. As Red Bull team, we are ready to do our best to make the Games even more enjoyable to spectators and athletes”.

The Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games is an exciting multi-sport event uniting the Islamic world, which will take place from 12 – 22 May 2017.

Athletes from Islamic countries around the world will be representing their nations over 10 days of competition across 20 different sports which include 23 disciplines (Athletics and Para Athletics, Aquatics – Diving, Aquatics – Swimming, Aquatics – Water Polo, Basketball 3x3, Football, Gymnastics – Artistic, Gymnastics – Rhythmic, Wushu, Table Tennis, Handball, Judo and Blind Judo, Wrestling – Greco, Wrestling – Freestyle, Shooting, Tennis, Volleyball, Boxing, Zurkhaneh, Karate, Taekwondo and Weightlifting) in 16 world-class sporting venues in Baku.

Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku was awarded the Games at the General Assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) in Jeddah in July 2013.
