Iran non-oil exports hit $11.85 bln
Iran exported 25.518 million tonnes of non-oil goods worth some
$11.859 billion in the first quarter of the current Iranian
calendar year (March 21 - June 20).
The country's non-oil exports in the first three months of the
previous calendar year were $9.838 billion.
Iran Customs Administration's latest report suggests that the
country also imported 9.755 million tonnes of goods worth $12.386
billion in the first quarter of current year.
The country's total trade amounted to $24.245 billion in the
mentioned period, which shows 27 percent increase compared to the
same period of time last year.
According to Iran Customs Administration, the country's total
non-oil exports to foreign countries (excluding gas condensates)
stood at $31.332 billion in previous year (which ended on March
20), while the country's total imports amounted to $50.818
billion.
The figures mark annual trade balance of -19.486 billion dollars
for Iran.
Iran's annual trade turnover is projected to reach $160 billion by
the end of the fifth five-year development plan (March 2016).
