Georgia to approve development strategy after public discussions

The Georgian government will approve the social-economic development strategy "Georgia 2020" after public discussions. The decision was made at the next session of the economic council led by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on April 23.
The meeting also mulled preconditions and obstacles for inclusive economic growth and the indicators of achievement of the objectives were defined, the prime ministers press service reported.
The strategy "Georgia 2020" reflects three main directions, which are integration to European markets, creation of relevant conditions for strengthening the competition and ensuring inclusive economic growth.
The World Bank positively assessed the socio-economic development strategy of Georgia up till 2020.
