Georgia’s Garibashvili urges to stop spending budget funds on New Year parties

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili urged the state institutions not to spend budget funds on holding New Year corporate parties.

"Given that we pay particular attention to rational expenditure of budgetary funds, I urge the government agencies, legal entities of public law and non-business entities not to use budget funds for corporate events," Garibashvili said.

He noted that the Georgian government fully realizes the public servants' liabilities to the law and the state, and believes that this decision is a step forward in the country's democratic development.
