Georgia prepares to bid farewell to President Saakashvili
The 'Patriots' Movement will hold a campaign 'Goodbye, Mr President' near the presidential residence in Georgia on October 25 over the completion of President Mikheil Saakashvili's tenure.
The organizers say that the campaign aims to thank Mikheil Saakashvili for all positive things done during his period of office and demonstrate to the international community that the country's citizens appreciated the progress achieved in Georgia during his presidency.
"We will express our gratitude to President Saakashvili for the progress achieved in domestic and foreign policy in nine years of his activity," the organisers said.
The campaign at the Avlabari presidential residence is scheduled for 17:00.
Georgia will hold the next presidential election on October 27.
