Kazakhstan, Russia to ink new treaty
Kazakhstan and Russia will sign a Treaty on good-neighbourliness
and alliance in the 21st Century in the framework of the 10th
Interregional Cooperation Forum in Yekaterinburg in November,
Kazakh Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov said.
"The document is 95 per cent ready," Idrissov said during talks
with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Astana on Sept.12,
Kazinform reported.
Idrissov said that two aspects were discussed within the talks and
these should be promptly implemented.
"Therefore we ask our colleagues to agree on the text of the
document within the week and then submit it for interdepartmental
examination," Idrisov said.
