Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili met with Estonian president Thomas Hendrik Ilves in the framework of his official visit in Estonia.

Prime Minister's Office reported that the parties discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral relations.

Ivanishvili thanked Hendrik Ilves for his support to Georgia's territorial integrity and Estonia's active efforts in the process of Georgia's European integration.

A view was expressed at the meeting about the importance of exchange of high-ranking visits between the two countries so that the new Georgian government members established partnerships with their counterparts.

During the visit, Ivanishvili also met with Estonian Parliamentary Speaker Ene Ergama.

The parties discussed bilateral cooperation. A suggestion was made to intensify inter-parliamentary relations and exchange of visits by parliamentary friendship groups.

According to Ivanishvili, Georgia highly appreciates Estonia's support in the framework of Development Cooperation program.

The Georgian Prime Minister also met with his Estonian Counterpart Andrus Ansip.

The meeting took place in a larger format, and current issues of sectoral cooperation were discussed there.

Ivanishvili expressed his satisfaction with the fact that during his first visit to Estonia an agreement was signed on cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism.

The sides noted that the trade-economic indicators between the two countries are insignificant, though at the government level, there is the willingness to encourage investment and promote the development of business relationships that will reflect positively on trade and economic indicators.
