New checkpoints to be appear on Turkey-Georgia border
New checkpoints are to be constructed on the border between Turkey and Georgia, Turkish Customs and Trade Minister Hayati Yazici told Turkey's official newspaper .
According to Yazici, currently 2 checkpoints function between Georgia and Turkey and considering the long queues at these checkpoints, it is necessary to create additional crossings.
In the first stage, the countries agreed to commission the Muratli checkpoint, and have already begun intensive work on the matter, Yazici said.
