Nuclear issues might transfer to Iran's Foreign Ministry
The nuclear program related issues might be transferred from Iran's Supreme National Security Council to the Foreign Ministry, head of the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of Iran's parliament, Alaeddin Boroujerdi said.
He said that the decision will be made by the president of Iran,
however the decision is not certain yet, and it all depends on the
abilities of person which will be appointed as secretary of the
Supreme National Security Council, Tasnim portal reported.
"I have not opportunity to ask about the issue from President
Hassan Rouhani," he said, adding that, the person who will
undertake nuclear issue negotiations should be skilled and aware of
all details of the case.
Boroujerdi added that the newly elected Foreign Minister Mohammad
Javad Zarif is a high skilled diplomat and has good experience in
the issue. He also went on to note that, undertaking the
negotiations by FM depends on Rouhani`s decision.
"The approval of Iran`s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is
also important in this case," he noted.
Tehran's team at nuclear talks with the six world powers has been
led by ex-secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Sa'eid
Jalili, during ex-president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad`s
administration.
Previously, Iranian media outlets have already published news
