Kazakhstan opens consulate in Munich

The Consulate of Kazakhstan was opened in Munich ,Germany on July 4, 2013, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.
The event was attended by representatives of German local
authorities and social, political and business circles, including
the members of the Bundestag and the Landtag of Bavaria, the German
Foreign Ministry and state agencies officials and representatives
of the Kazakh diaspora and migrant organizations, and the
media.
Kazakh Ambassador to Germany Nurlan Onzhanov said that the opening
of Kazakhstan's Consulate in the capital of Bavaria is one of the
most important events in the history of the Kazakh-German
cooperation, and its activity will contribute to the development
and strengthening of the bilateral cooperation.
Bavaria's Deputy Agriculture Food and Forestry Minister Martin
Neumeyer who delivered a speech on behalf of the local government
said the new consulate would make a significant contribution to the
development of large-scale cooperation between Kazakhstan and
Bavaria, especially in the economic sphere.
Currently, Bavaria accounts for a half of the total turnover
between Germany and Kazakhstan.
