Six pct economic growth is unrealistic for Georgia - minister
Georgian Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili deems unrealistic 6 percent economic growth, which was announced by the government.
"Unfortunately, there are many factors that lead to the figures that have been made public. According to my opinion, to achieve a 6-percent economic growth is unrealistic. But to achieve a 4.5-5-percent growth is possible, just to do this, there are certain prerequisites, including the need to stop the negative PR that spreads around the world, " Kvirikashvili said.
According to him, now they work on neutralizing the factors that negatively affect on economic growth.
"For our part we are doing everything to improve the efficiency of the government in this direction. Yesterday I had a meeting with the economic team, and we planned the steps that need to be done to neutralize these disturbing factors", Kvirikashvili said.
