UN official on human rights arrives in Uzbekistan
UN Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights Ivan Šimonović arrived in Tashkent on May 26 within his tour to the Central Asian countries, a source in government circles told Trend news agency.
As it was reported, last week Šimonović visited Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
The program of Šimonović's visit to Uzbekistan envisages holding talks with the heads of ministries and departments, the country's Foreign Ministry said.
Šimonović's visit to Uzbekistan will last until May 29.
