Head of major chemical plant dismissed in Turkmenistan

Director of the Tedzhenkarbamid plant, Chariyar Tushiev, has been dismissed in Turkmenistan as he failed to cope with the work, the Turkmen government said.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov signed the relevant decree. This enterprise is included in the Turkmenkhimia State Concern.

The chemical industry of Turkmenistan is going through a period of active modernization. Khazar Chemical Plant, Balkanabat Iodine Plant, Bereket Iodine Plant, production associations Garabogazsulfat and Maryazot and others are also listed among the leading companies.

In the future, another two companies will operate, construction of which is underway. It is ore-dressing and processing enterprise in Lebap region with production capacity of 1.4 million tons of potash fertilizers and plant in Mary for ammonia production (400,000 tons per year) and carbamide (640,000 tons per year).

The Turkmenkhimia State Concern is responsible for ensuring the needs of agricultural sector in mineral fertilizers, increase volumes and range of their production for export.
