Iran seeks expansion of ties with Benin
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called for the expansion of ties with Benin as he visits the West African country on the first leg of his tour of Africa.
During the meeting with his Beninese counterpart Yani Boni, Ahmadinejad said there are abundant opportunities for the two nations to boost their cooperation.
In turn, Yani Boni said that the relations between Iran and his
country are at satisfactory level.
Niger and Ghana are the next destinations for Ahmadinejad and his
delegation, which includes several high-ranking officials from
agriculture, energy and foreign ministers.
