Int'l conference on Afghanistan to be held in Kazakhstan
An international conference on "Regional security and the situation in Afghanistan" will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan on Thursday, the press service of the Center for Military and Strategic Studies reported.
The conference is being held before the NATO forces' withdrawal from Afghanistan, and 'The Heart of Asia' international conference scheduled on April 25 in Astana, also dedicated to the challenges to the regional security and stability, the center said in its statement released on Wednesday.
Prominent international experts, scholars, political scientists and specialists from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Latvia, Russia, Iran and Kazakhstan will make speeches at the conference.
