Quake hits Iranian province
An earthquake measuring 3.1 on Richter scale jolted Iran's rural district of Sirch in mid-south province of Kerman on Tuesday evening, IRNA news agency reported.
According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 21:57 hours local time ( 18:27 hours GMT).
There is no immediate report on possible damage.
