ADB to finance road reconstruction in Tajikistan
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will allocate grant for reconstruction of the Pendjikent-Ayni road in Tajikistan, Avasta.tj reported on Thursday.
After holding preliminary accounts and studying the project documentation, ADB decided to allocate more than $120 million. The exact cost of the project will be determined after the feasibility studies are finished.
The project will be implemented in two stages, in 2012 and in 2013.
The length of Pendjikent-Ayni road is about 112.6 kilometers.
