Azeri appointed BP Azerbaijan VP

An Azerbaijani national has been appointed Vice-President of BPAzerbaijan company for relations with government bodies and international affairs.
Seymur Khalilov will take up the position on January 1, 2008, the company said.
Khalilov is a young manager with a degree from overseas. He had previously worked for the US embassy in Baku and then in the United States. He has lately been employed by BP Azerbaijan.
Khalilov was appointed to the post in line with the policy of promoting national personnel. He is the second Azerbaijani national to have received the high post. Rashid Javanshir was earlier appointed BP Azerbaijan's Vice-President for onshore operations.
