Turkey's car market shrinks by almost 60pct

In January 2019, the car market in Turkey shrank by 59 percent compared to the same month of 2018, with 14,300 vehicles, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Automotive Distributors Association.
The report notes that in January 2019, five electric vehicles and 131 hybrid vehicles were sold in Turkey.
In the reported month, Turkish citizens generally preferred sedan cars, according to the association.
So, sedan cars accounted for 48.7 percent of all car sales in Turkey, during the reported period, the association said.
