French companies learn of investment potential of Uzbekistan's Jizzakh region

Uzbek-French business forum was held at the Chamber of Commerce of the French region of Normandy, Trend reports via UzDaily.
Representatives of the French parliament, the administration of the city of Fleur, business circles in the region as well as delegations from the Jizzakh region attended the forum.
Leading French companies such as Bocage, Kiplay, Fléchard, Norhuil, Biscuiterie de l'Abbaye, IMV Technologies and others were represented at the event.
The Uzbek side presented information on reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at creating a favorable business environment, strengthening guarantees for the rights of business entities, developing corporate governance, attracting foreign investment and providing comprehensive support to investors.
The participants learned about the investment and tourism potential of the Jizzakh region especially the pilot project “Ilkor Khudud” (Advanced Region) which implies accelerated development and improvement of the living conditions of the residents in the region.
In its turn, French side acquainted the representatives of Uzbekistan with the economic, scientific and human potential of the Orne department which includes 3 districts, 21 cantons and 389 communes. There are small and medium-sized industrial enterprises processing agricultural, dairy products, cotton, textiles and food products proving that the agricultural sector and industry are developed here.
Orne not only attracts tourists with its nature and gastronomy, but also actively interacts with companies from the USA, Germany, Great Britain and others.
