A delegation of Uzbek Jizzakh region led by deputy khokim Azim Akhmedkhadzhaev held a meeting with Gruau vice president of international business development Sylvain Sene in France, the press service of the Jizzakh Hokimiyat said.

The parties discussed the possibility of creating a car modification production in Uzbekistan.

French company considers Uzbekistan as promising due to the strategic location of the country between Russia, India, China and Europe to create a plant for tooling vehicles.

The company intends to expand cooperation with local automakers and enter the Central Asian market.

The Gruau delegation is expected to visit the Jizzakh region to familiarize themselves with the conditions and preferences in the Jizzakh free economic zone, which can become a platform for creating a line for modifying vehicles.

Created in Mayenne (West of France) in 1889, the Gruau Group is number 1 in Europe for Light commercial vehicles (LCV) conversions and designs and manufactures global transportation solutions for its private and public customers, including: manufacturers, dealers, fleet customers, purchasing associations, professionals, communities and private clients, within its core role of Converter-Manufacturer.

Under the leadership of Patrick Gruau, 5th generation, the company continues to grow. The company's 21 locations (including 5 abroad: 2 in Poland, 1 in Spain, 1 in Algeria, 1 in U.S., 1 in Germany and 2 in Italy) employs a total of 1,500 people and achieves a turnover of 271 million euros.

Gruau's goal is to anticipate transportation solutions that meet its customers' needs.

Gruau is able to convert more than 54,000 vehicles per year for companies around the world.

The group is now a referenced supplier by 34 international car brands and offers more than 20 product lines: minibuses, transport of disabled persons, transport of goods (compact vans, refrigerated or insulated vehicles), construction vehicles (tippers, crew cabs), safety and security for the police and customs officers, company cars, ambulances and emergency vehicles, funeral, electric and bespoke/custom vehicles (medical, mobile offices, training units).

Gruau has foreign subsidiaries in Poland, Spain, U.S., and Alger.

Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and France were established in February 1992.

France, as one of the main engines of European integration, demonstrates leadership in taking Uzbekistan’s strategic partnership with the EU to a qualitatively new level.
