Uzbekistan launches production of 3D printers, robots

By Trend

The production of 3D printers and unique robots has been launched in the Tashkent technopark Yashnobod, Uzbek media reported.

“Presently, 10 innovative projects have received the status of resident in our technopark,” said Farhod Jumaev, head of directorate of Yashnobod. “There are robot manufacturers among the residents. One of the products is Adbot, which helps people with navigation, answers questions, broadcasts promotional materials and remembers everyone with whom it communicates. It is intended for crowded places.”

He noted that for now, such robots are produced for export, but if there is a need in the domestic market, the company is ready to launch the production of robots for Uzbekistan. In particular, one of the banks has already ordered such a robot and now it is at the assembly stage, he said.

Another interesting project is the production of 3D printers, which are new to the Uzbek market. Green Code has been producing 3D printers for the domestic market for almost half a year.

“We are in talks with the Uzbek Healthcare Ministry on the manufacture of products for medical universities,” he said. “For example, a 3D printer can print an item in the form of a heart, jaw, human skeleton, etc. There are many companies in the world that produce 3D printers, but in Uzbekistan, Green Code is the first and only company producing such printers. During their production, 70 percent of local raw materials and 30 percent of imported ones are used.”

Projects of residents of the technopark can be from different areas: chemical technology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, energy saving, robotics, food industry and so on.
