Over 195,000 tourists from Georgia visit Turkey in September

In September 2018, 195,850 tourists from Georgia visited Turkey, which is 25.32 percent less compared to the same period in 2017, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey told Trend November 1.
The ministry stated that the share of Georgian citizens in the total number of foreigners who visited Turkey in September 2018 is 4.09 percent.
For comparison: in September 2017, this indicator amounted to 6.43 percent.
According to the data of the ministry, in January-September of the current year, 1,639,277 tourists from Georgia visited Turkey, which is 11.82 percent less compared to the indicator for the same period in 2017.
The share of Georgian citizens in the total number of foreigners who visited Turkey in January-September 2018 is 5.15 percent.
In September 2018, Turkey was visited by a total of 5,425,845 tourists, which is 15.64 percent higher than the indicator for the same month in 2017.
