By Trend
Big events like Syria, Yemen, Daesh, Saudi Arabia and some changes in the Persian Gulf countries have taken place in the region, First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said, IRNA reports.
'Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was a great and most
complicated task undertaken by Iran and the six world powers, which
could be a model for mechanism in internationally complicated
issues,' Jahangiri said.
Iran's first vice-president said that changes in the international
scene cannot solely create a complicated situation for Iran because
in a period of time the European envoys left the country and Iran
managed to successfully pass through the difficult situation.
Jahangiri reiterated that the new situation involves several
factors such as politics, economy and international issues which
have combined somehow together to create a new situation for the
country.
The first vice-president pointed to quadrilateral bills. and said
that one of the bills 'Financial Action Task Force' (FATF) is a law
to fight money-laundering which was approved by parliament.
Today fighting against money-laundering and illegitimate moneys in
Iran that has caused the country to face crisis, is important.
The next bill is Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and
that Iran has always been harmed by terrorism and if there would be
no exact framework, Daesh might be financed through financial
system.
Jahangiri added that FTAF was approved twice in the supreme council
of heads of branches of powers, which is so necessary for the
country now.
