Uzbekistan may join the UN project on the maritime and continental routes of the Great Silk Road – the "United Nations Maritime-Continental Silk Road Cities Alliance” (UNMCSR CA), Podrobno.uz reported.

The Director and Coordinator of the Maritime-Continental Silk Road Cities Alliance project Wu Tszyan Bo spoke about the details of this project.

"The Alliance seeks to promote the exchange of economic, technological and other personnel between countries and regions in support of a broader concept of strengthening cooperation between the 21st century Silk Road economic zone and the Maritime-Continental Silk Road Cities Alliance project. This project is supported by the Chinese government and the UN headquarters. We strengthen long-term relationships and partnerships with major cities of the Great Silk Road. We also help Chinese investors and entrepreneurs discover and launch new projects in these cities," he said.

He noted that in the framework of the project, the fruitful meetings have been held in Samarkand, Tashkent, the Bukhara region and Khiva.

He also added that he hopes Uzbekistan will join the United Nations Maritime-Continental Silk Road Cities Alliance. This, he believes, will help develop relations between the business circles of Uzbekistan and China, establish new enterprises and startups in Uzbekistan.
