Trains will start to ply weekly between Russia's Kazan and
Uzbekistan's Tashkent from December 9, Podrobno.uz reported citing
the website of Russian Railways JSC.
This opens up the possibility of getting non-stop to more
Russian regions, Russian Railways JSC said in a statement.
Russian Railways JSC also plans to replace the economy-class
berths with sleep-boxes in railway cars. The railway workers
finally decided to reconsider the arrangement of common and
economy-class carriages, having created the “personal comfort
zones” in the carriages.
CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Russian Railways JSC
Oleg Belozerov told Rossiyskaya Gazeta that they are developing new
concepts for passenger cars for increased comfort. He noted that
the cars will have sockets and Wi-Fi.
