By Trend
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Iranian military forces are fighting international terrorism lawfully and on the invitation of the Syrian government, IRNA reports.
She made the remarks in a news meeting where she referred to
Iran’s recent missile attack on those behind the terrorist attack
in Ahvaz off the eastern coast of Euphrates.
Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) on Monday fired six
surface-surface ballistic missiles at takfiri terrorists' positions
in areas east of Euphrates Syria.
In the operation, some of the leaders and agents of the recent
terrorist crimes were killed or injured, and their infrastructures
and ammunition depots destroyed.
At least 25 people, including women and children, were killed and
more than 60 others injured in September 22 terror attack in Ahvaz
which took place during a military parade held to mark the 38th
anniversary of the eight-year (1980-88) war imposed on Iran. The
self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed
responsibility for the attack.
