Construction of the Kandym Gas Processing Plant (GPP) in Uzbekistan will be boosted.
“It has been decided together with the Russian partner [LUKOIL] to accelerate the implementation of this project. The first stage, which was originally planned for June 2018, will be completed in December 2017,” said director of Neftegaz Invest LLC (which is a part of the National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz), Bakhodyr Siddikov, during a meeting of international press club in Tashkent.
He noted that to date, more than 90 percent of delivery of the equipment has been completed, about 8,000 people are employed in the construction of the GPP and most of them are local specialists.
The GPP’s annual production capacity is expected to be 7.819 billion cubic meters of commercial gas, 134,360 tons of stable condensate and 212,900 tons of sulfur.
