Erdogan’s visit to open new page in Turkish-Uzbek relations
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Uzbekistan will open a new page in relations between the two countries, Turkey’s presidential administration told Trend on November 16.
Development of political and economic relations between Ankara and Tashkent will become the main topic of discussions during the visit, according to the presidential administration.
“Uzbekistan is one of the strategically important Central Asian states, and Ankara attaches special significance to development of relations with Uzbekistan,” the administration said.
Erdogan will visit Uzbekistan on November 17-18. This is his first visit as Turkey’s president to Uzbekistan. He is expected to meet with acting Uzbek president, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
