Ankara OKs German diplomats’ visit to Incirlik airbase

Turkey has allowed German diplomats to visit the Incirlik airbase in Adana, the Hurriyet newspaper reported on September 8.
It was earlier reported that in response to the resolution of Bundestag (German parliament) on recognizing the 1915 events as “Armenian genocide”, Turkey can limit Germany’s access to Incirlik airbase.
Previously, German diplomats expressed intention to visit the base.
In response, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said a military base is not a place for diplomats.
