Uzbek president in critical condition
Uzbekistan’s President Islam Karimov is in critical condition after having suffered a stroke, the "Narodnoye Slovo" newspaper reported citing the country’s Cabinet of Ministers.
"The health condition of our president saw a sharp deterioration and is considered critical by the doctors," said the message from the Cabinet of Ministers.
"As it was reported earlier, Islam Karimov was hospitalized last Saturday after having suffered a stroke," said the message.
