Key gas exporters agree to counter price fall
Iran, Russia and Qatar have agreed on stabilizing the gas prices, and preventing them from falling, Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Javad Owji said.
Mehr news agency reported that the three countries achieved the
agreement during the second summit of the Gas Exporting Countries
Forum (GECF) which held in Moscow in July.
Owji also said that unconventional gas production is a "showcase",
adding that, Iran and other big gas exporters are not concerned
about it.
The cartel of key gas exporters created de-facto by Iran, Russia,
and Qatar has approximately 60 percent of world gas reserves.
Gas price has decreased sharply due to US achievement on
unconventional gas production technology.
It also predicted that this country would export gas to Japan and
Asian markets in new future.
