Iran to manufacture robots for underwater work on oil jetties
Iranian National RoboCup Committee has proposed to manufacture
special robots for underwater work on the country's oil jetties,
ISNA news agency reported.
The Iranian RoboCup National Committee was established in July
2006. The main objective of the committee is to promote Robotics
and AI research.
Chairman of the Iranian committee, Morteza Mousakhani, said that a
special consortium has been established to move the work
forward.
He added that the initiative came as a way to promote use of robots
in various industrial sectors.
