KazTransGas confirms Kyrgyz Company’s debt for supplies

Kazakhstan's national gas transportation company KazTransGas has confirmed the $6.5-million-debt of Kyrgyzgaz for gas supplies made in January-February 2013.

The company reports that the contract with Kyrgyzgaz was concluded for the period until the end of the first quarter of 2013 at a cost of 2012 - $224 per 1,000 cubic meters. "In the case of Kyrgyzgaz's noncompliance with financial obligations, KazTransGas reserves the right to partially limit the northern part of the Kyrgyz Republic and, or, set penalties for late payment. Total debt of Kyrgyzgaz to KazTransGas for past years is $26.6 million', the statement said.

KazTransGas JSC was established in order to systematize the work of the gas industry. In 2012, KazTransGas was defined as the national operator in the field of gas and gas supply. Companies and organisations dealing with gas production, transportation and sale are included in the KazTransGas company group.
