Kazakhstan’s gas output up in Jan.-Oct.
Kazakhstan's total production of gas amounted to 33.135 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January-October, 2012, compared to 32.65 bcm during the same period of 2011, according to the Kazakh statistics agency.
Gas production in Kazakhstan totaled 3.261 bcm in October compared to 3.196 bcm during the same month of last year. In October, gas production increased by 2 percent compared to October 2011 and increased by 5.3 percent compared to the previous month.
Kazakhstan's domestic demand for gas amounted to 706.9 million cubic metres in October 2012, which is 55.2 percent more than demand in the previous month and 0.7 percent more than in October 2011.
