SOCAR, Total to jointly tap Caspian oilfield
Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR will operate the Absheron
field in the Caspian Sea jointly with French major Total. The two
companies are due to sign a relevant agreement in the coming days,
SOCAR executive Vagif Aliyev said.
"Talks on drafting the document are under way," he added.
SOCAR and Total will hold equal shares in the project on Absheron
development.
