Azerbaijani geology institute, German RWE sign coop deal
Geology Institute of Azerbaijan and Germany-based electricity and gas company RWE have signed a cooperation agreement, the institute said on Friday.
According to the report, the purpose of the agreement signing is the study of prospective oil and gas reserves south of Absheron and the transition strip between the Caspian Sea and Gobustan soil.
The agreement signed by the Director of the Institute Akif Alizadeh and project manager for Azerbaijan Junger Schober.
Geology Institute will again carry out the research and drilling operations by the order of RWE, as well as additional field work and the results will determine the prospective reserves of the strip.
The agreement was signed for one year and research and field work is expected to start on November 1.
