BP Azerbaijan appoints new vice president
BP Azerbaijan has appointed a new vice president for drilling, a source in the oil and gas market told Trend news agency on Wednesday.
Jim Cowei, who previously held a similar post under a BP project in the North Sea, will take the position.
Cowei succeeds Gary Christman in this capacity from November 15. Christman will now serve as vice president of BP's Global Wells Institute.
BP Azerbaijan spokesperson Tamam Bayatli said earlier that all the replacements in the company had long been planned.
Another vice president, Kemp Copeland, who was in charge of export pipeline operations, retired last week.
The company said any staff changes are thoroughly planned long beforehand, which also concerns the recent replacements.
