BP and SOCAR facilities unaffected by power outage in Azerbaijan
Problems with electricity in Azerbaijan observed since Friday morning, have not affected facilities of BP, which is operator of major oil and gas projects in Azerbaijan, as well as offshore platforms, as the company has its energy generating facilities, BP told Trend news agency.
Problems with electricity supply in most districts of Baku and regions of Azerbaijan slightly affected the work of processing enterprises of the state oil company SOCAR, located in the capital, SOCAR said.
SOCAR said despite the short-term problems, at present all the processing enterprises -- oil refineries and a gas processing plant -- operate normally.
According to SOCAR, there were no problems with power supply on SOCAR platforms in the Caspian Sea, in particular, on Oil Rocks and the shallow part of Guneshli field.
"Here power supply is carried out by our own resources and
generation facilities," SOCAR said.
