Azerbaijan's state energy company SOCAR plans to establish a center for nanotechnologies in Germany and has signed a relevant memo with a German agency.

Along with setting up a subdivision of the scientific and production center for nanotechnologies of SOCAR in North Rhine-Westphalia, the document envisions financing, technical and legal substantiation of joint projects, defining areas for production of nanotechnology systems and studying sales markets.

Under the signed memo, SOCAR will cooperate with the two institutions in arranging sales and researching markets in the European Union countries and other states. The sides are also to implement joint projects in the EU countries on the basis of SOCAR’s nanotechnologies.
